- Probably the weirdest thing you’ll see today: A library workout video from 1987. I’m kind of in love with this.
- NPR’s list of 100 must-reads for kids 9-14. I think my list would (will?!) look a little different.
- A researcher at the Plainfield Public Library recently discovered a handwritten note penned by John Quincy Adams in the building’s archives.
- “This really ticked me off.” 1-star Amazon.com reviews of classic books. I think this is my favorite:
“The only good thing to say about this ‘literary’ drivel is that the person responsible, Virginia Woolf, has been dead for quite some time now. Let us pray to God she stays that way.”
- The world’s most beautiful libraries. And if the staff uses Betty Glover’s workout video, they’ll be run by the most beautiful librarians in the world.
